PB Continuing Education Instructor - YPT

St. Charles Community College seeks a part-time project based Continuing Education Instructor for the Young Artist Training Program to instruct non-credit theatre students ages 8-18. The instructor will teach camps, clinics, and workshops. Candidates must have prior experience with theatre and working with youth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develop lesson plans for camps, clinics, and workshops.
• Teach classes, clinics, and workshops for students ages 8-18, including those on the topics of acting, character development and technical theatre.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians.
• Identify and procure necessary course materials and supplies to ensure student engagement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of college level or technical school in the related field or one year of related work experience.
• Must possess excellent communications skills.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
