PB Continuing Education Instructor - OSHA/Safety Specialist

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

SCC is seeking a part-time, project-based OSHA/Safety Specialist, to assist business and industry partners with specific OSHA and Safety related initiatives. Seeking individuals experienced in documenting safety protocols in alignment industry - specifically manufacturing/industrial environments and applicable regulatory agencies as well as providing input related to process improvement and related implementation strategies. Specific knowledge of and/or experience to include but not be limited to:

• Safety Standards/OSHA/Federal and Local Regulations
• Safety Topics relating to Industry and Manufacturing
• Quality/Lean & 5S/ISO Topics

In-order to accomplish tasks or to observe operational activities, candidates may be required to stand long periods and/or walk long distances.

Qualifications: 3-5 years of specific OSHA/Safety business and industry related experience. Should possess strong attention to detail and leadership experience. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others. OSHA/ISO/Six Sigma certification preferred. Working knowledge of Quality/Process Improvement Strategies a plus.
