Health Occupations Coordinator,

St. Charles Community College seeks a full-time Health Occupations Coordinator who will oversee all non-credit Health Occupations programming. The HOC will ensure compliance with program certification, training approval, and curriculum standards; clinical agreements and healthcare partner regulations; and local and state regulations for students. The HOC implements strategies to improve and expand the Health Occupations programs and enrollment. The HOC will assist with implementing continuous improvement strategies to ensure services are efficient, effective, high quality, and student-centered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of all health occupations and professional development programs.
• Ensures compliance with third-party certification bodies' rules and regulations.
• Recruits, supervises, and evaluates all instructional personnel.
• Schedules courses including dates, times, and room assignments.
• Completes appropriate personnel documentation including new hire forms, contracts, and payroll authorizations.
• Commissions publicity utilizing Continuing Education course catalog, newspaper, and individual mailings, or other publications conducive to recruiting.
• In coordination with supervisor, conducts presentations to industry and community to inform of all Health Occupations training programs.
• In coordination with supervisor, implements best-practice strategies to increase and maintain sustainable revenue for the Health Occupations programs.
• Collaborates with the marketing department to develop meaningful marketing and social media materials to promote the Health Occupations programs.
• Attends college and community events to promote and recruit students.
• Researches and explores opportunities for new offerings, gathers information regarding requirements and accreditation process, and assists with the implementation of new programming.
• Collaborates with Hospitals, Long Term Facilities, and other health care agencies regarding educational needs and program development.
• Maintains registration and financial records as required by Federal and State agencies, Continuing Education Division and College.
• Maintains student files as required by Federal and State agencies, Continuing Education Division, College registrar and individual certifying agencies/professional organizations.
• Meets with students regarding career opportunities, program requirements, and student needs; referring students to Academic Advisor (Pathway Navigator) or the other services as needed.
• Communicates and collaborates with State officials, agency representatives and college staff.
• Provides instruction and administers final examination of students as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a leadership role or an associate's degree and three years' experience in a leadership role.
• Unencumbered RN Licensure by State Board of Missouri Nursing (required)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in communications, student affairs, or education.

• ANCC Gerontological certification, MO CNA Instructor/Examiner Certificate, MO CMT Instructor/Examiner Certificate
