Founded in 1986, St. Charles Community College (SCC) is one of the best two-year colleges in the state of Missouri. SCC serves more than 10,000 students in St. Charles County, a northwestern county outside of St. Louis, MO. SCC's main campus, located in Cottleville, houses 12 award-winning buildings known for innovative, contemporary "educational village" design and spans over 256 acres. A satellite campus is in Dardenne Prairie and features state-of-the-art nursing, allied health programs, culinary studies, and various career-technical programs.
POSITION SUMMARY

The Coordinator II is responsible for assisting with the administration and management of credit and non-credit programs at college locations. Manages projects and processes ensuring operational goals and objectives are reached. Ensures compliance with college policies and regulatory rules and statutes.
Position may require oversight of projects at more than one college location.Serves as the primary coordinator responsible for providing management of execution of college operational,
academic, student, and workforce development services. Serve as the primary contact with college
leadership, managers, high school, community, and workforce partners. Maintains positive relationships
when working cooperatively with other college and professional groups to support the colleges' mission under
the direction of a team leader/supervisor.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning and execution of new and existing processes within the assigned area of responsibility. Understands effective and efficient methods to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the program. Demonstrates agility when leading department initiatives.
Proficient in evaluating activities which are student-focused in a fast-paced, changing environment. Demonstrates a capacity for understanding academic programs and functions of the organization. Highly knowledgeable in local, state, and federal compliance programs for assigned area. Knowledge of laws and
regulations related to the integrity of the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supports the Student Support - Adult Education & Literacy program and assists in program fulfillment for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Coordinator II will assist students seeking employment, education, or training and obtain support services necessary to succeed in the labor market. Collaborates with employers to provide skilled workers to compete in the global economy. Develop community partnerships supporting the AEL programs and services leading to employment opportunities and/or post-secondary training.
The Coordinator II position manages all aspects of the Integrated Education and Training programs, including recruitment, eligibility verification, teacher class preparation materials, and communication with potential students. Requires the ability to assess student needs and recommend agency referrals, when appropriate. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from a variety of multi-cultural backgrounds. Provides excellent customer service internally and externally. May be required to teach adult education or similar classes. Requires regular and predictable attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or higher with six months experience in related field or in an educational environment, or
Associate's degree or higher with two years of experience in related field or in an educational environment, or equivalent education and experience totaling four years. Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) certification required or the ability to obtain AEL certification within first six months of employment. **Will be subject to a criminal background check.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Generally, reports to a Dean or Director; but may vary upon organizational need
