POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time Coordinator Financial Services who is responsible for analyzing and maintaining the department's financial records and budgets, assisting with expenditure forecasts, reconciling accounts, and monitoring expenses. Ensures compliance with college policies and regulatory rules and statutes.

Serves as the primary contact with vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and managers at various SCC owned/leased facilities. Maintains positive relationships with local auditors, consultants, inspectors, architects, engineers, city/county officials, or other professionals under the direction of team leader/supervisor.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting transactions and related documentation
  • Assists with the preparation of financial statements and detailed information for auditors; completes various accounting and financial reports.
  • Prepares billing invoices for contracts and grants; performs the cash management functions for the grants.
  • Assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, student accounts/billing services, purchasing, and payroll.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field plus one year experience, OR two years of college or higher plus three (3) years' experience in related field, OR equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, and budgeting.
  • Provides excellent customer service internally and externally to the organization
  • Attention to detail
  • A capacity for understanding the business operations and functions of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Generally, reports to the Director of Financial Services but may vary based on organizational need.

Position requires regular and predictable attendance.

**Will be subject to a criminal background check.
