College Center Assistant
St. Charles Community College is seeking a part-time, as-needed College Center Assistant who will monitor users of the fitness center and gymnasium during open hours and orientate users in the safe and proper use of the fitness equipment.
Other duties:
- Makes appointments and orientates individuals in the use of the fitness equipment. Teaches safe and proper use of same.
- Maintains order and cleanliness within the fitness center.
- Monitors users of the fitness center and gymnasium during open hours.
- Assists in administration of fitness assessments and inputs assessment findings into computer.
- Checks equipment in/out for gymnasium usage.
Starting Compensation: $10.88 to $12.51, commensurate with experience
Hours: as needed to cover absences; not a regularly scheduled position
Qualifications: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strength trainer or fitness trainer introductory level nationally recognized certification desired. Current adult and CPR certification required.
