SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our pooled part-time faculty positions to teach Graphic Design and/or Studio Art courses this upcoming Spring 2023. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.

Skills currently needed:

Studio Art Areas of Emphasis:

• Art Appreciation
• Art History
• 2-D Design
• Color Theory
• Drawing
• Photography

Qualifications for Studio Art Faculty:

• Master Fine Art or Master of Art History (depending on courses we have open)
• Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.

Graphic Design Areas of Emphasis:

• Visualization & Layout
• Digital Imaging & Illustration
• Typography
• Web & Interactive Design
• Animation & Motion Graphics
• Video Production
• Portfolio Design & Professional Practices, etc.
• Platform proficiencies required: Apple OS and iOS
• Software proficiencies required: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Maya, Mudbox, Axure, Balsamique, etc.

Qualifications for Graphic Design Faculty:

• Master Fine Art or Bachelor Fine Art
• Commensurate design practitioner/field experience required.
• Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.
