St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

We are seeking a Housekeeper who will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all college campus building interiors or they may be assigned to one specific building or building area to maintain.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Floor care, including wet and dry mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming; carpet care, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and area cleaning; window cleaning; wall washing; cleaning desk tops, table tops, office furniture and areas, window sills and other surfaces; clean chalk/white boards; clean, sanitize and restock restrooms; empty trash containers and recyclables from assigned areas. May assist with emptying of trash and cleaning of common areas. Must be able to operate scrubber, buffer, and vacuum and related housekeeping equipment. Ladders and stools may be required for some cleaning jobs. Position may parallel with that of the custodian position. Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Most housekeeping experience will be as a result of previous on-the-job training. Six months experience in housekeeping.
