St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

We are seeking a full-time Admissions/Recruitment Manager who will coordinates the student recruitment and admissions program for the college including strategic planning, use of data and technology to enhance enrollment, leading recruitment activities, and managing the admissions/recruitment team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Manages the Admissions/Recruitment Department staff, including hiring staff, scheduling, timesheets, performance evaluations and first-line discipline.
  • With Vice President, develops formal, annual strategic recruitment plan. Targeted populations include, but are not limited to: high school students, returning adults, dual enrollment-dual credit students, employees in regional business and industry.
  • Coordinates projects and activities related to student recruitment (i.e. BeReady, College Fair, High School Counselor Day, High School visits, tours, etc.).
  • Builds strong relationships for the department/College with service area (and extended service area) high school principals and counselors.
  • With Marketing and Academic Advising, co-lead, manage and develop SOAR program (Student Orientation Advising and Registration).
  • Participates in recruitment activities to increase enrollment, including recruitment at high schools in business and industry, and other agencies, as needed.
  • Tracks recruitment and enrollment data and prepare reports, via the student information system (Colleague) and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module/tool. Utilize the college CRM tool daily to evaluate data, make strategic decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Confers with faculty, staff, administration, and outside agencies and institutions, to support the recruitment of students to SCC.
  • Promotes the College and its programs to the College community.
  • Plans/promotes new on-campus events (open houses, luncheons, receptions).
  • Participates on College committees. Other duties, as assigned.



Supervises full-time admissions recruiters, full-time admission specialist, and 32-hour Admissions Assistant.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications, education or counseling required; master's degree preferred. Math, writing, effective communication and computer skills are essential.  Minimum two years related full-time work experience with emphasis in higher education admissions and/or recruitment. Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred. Must be able to operate miscellaneous office equipment such as personal computer, calculator, printer, telephone and copier, as well as drive a car.
