St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.


We invite qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Sociology Faculty for fall 2019.


Professional responsibilities include effective teaching, committee participation, and college service.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction.


Teaching load is 15 credit hours for fall and spring semesters.


Qualifications: A Master's or Ph.D. in Sociology is required.

Preferred candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, demonstrate the ability and embrace the use of a learning management system such as Canvas or Blackboard, and maintain the highest possible standards in classroom instruction and assessment. 


Minimum starting salaries:

Instructor: $53,244; Assistant Professor: $58,650; Associate Professor: $64,479
