OVERVIEW OF COLLEGE

Founded in 1986, St. Charles Community College (SCC) has a reputation as one of the best two-year colleges in the state of Missouri. With extraordinary faculty and staff, SCC serves a student population of more than 10,000 and a general population of more than 350,000 throughout St. Charles County and beyond. GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Student Life Manager will plan student activities and provide student conduct/Title IX support for the SCC campus community. This role contributes to the retention and completion goals of the College through student programming and acting as corrective action support.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

50% Student Activities

  • With Student Activities Coordinator, plans, promotes, coordinates student social, recreational and education events, the Student Awards Banquets and heritage months.
  • Collaborates with faculty/staff/departments in support of student programming.
  • Assists with preparation of publicity to promote student activities on campus and externally, as needed.
  • Utilizes campus technology to support the needs of the Student Activities Department.
  • Attends student activity events.

 

50% Student Conduct and Student Title IX

  • Serves as a second tier Student Conduct Administrator.
  • Supports student Title IX reports with intake and investigation.
  • Serves as a member of the Campus Assessment, Response and Encouragement (CARE) Team.
  • Communicates with students and advocate for unmet needs and interests.
  • Refers students to appropriate resources, both inside the College and outside agencies, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in communications, counseling, education or similar fields required; master's degree preferred. Two or more years experience in student activities, residence life, conduct, student life or similar area within a higher education setting required. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree preferred.
